Mission

The mission of Tomczak & Partners Law Office is legal consultancy in the field of economic activity, including a subordinate and subsidiary role of law in the business area.

What tycoons of business really need, are solutions and not the analysis of legal situations. They need a thorough explanation of a dilemma rather than making it more complicated. They need new answers rather than new questions. They need certainty rather than doubts.

The mission of Tomczak & Partners Law Office is to facilitate conducting an economic activity by our clients. Since these are they, not we, who create and change the reality.

Values

The values are of fundamental importance for the development of the firm only in the event that they are commonly shared. From the point of view of partners seeking lawyers chiefly according to professional criteria, the elementary task is not necessarily finding persons sharing these values, but above all the possibility of determining an attitude displayed by lawyers towards those qualities. It goes without saying that understanding these values by candidates will imply an attempt of mystification and making an impression that the qualities suggested by the Law Office are shared. The verification of an attitude towards the values is basically a never-ending process, also due to the fact that they are constantly supplemented and modified.

  1. Creating your own image and creating the law office’s image

    • We are pursuing a totally intellectual and creative profession. Albeit performed on a repetitive basis, its changeability and development is a basic challenge for a legal advisor. Therefore, the development of one’s own abilities and influencing the development of the Law Office constitutes a natural requirement, not to say, an obligation imposed on the lawyers.
    • It refers not only to legal abilities but also to the knowledge in other domains which may have a tremendous impact on conducting an economic activity, interpersonal properties, and ability to operate modern office technology.
    • Taking into account a fully aware attitude towards oneself, the requirement of a personal development is not only a duty, but also a source of real satisfaction.
  2. Service message of our profession

    • Fully aware, we pursue a profession of a certainly servicing character. Therefore we have to care about the clients’ satisfaction and our relations with them.
    • The Care about a client does not deprive us of our dignity; our attitude towards the clients does not solely mean following their expectations. We build a relationship with our clients and aim to influence their legal consciousness by providing them with restrictions and possibilities presented in provisions.
    • No situation, however, may justify acting to the client’s detriment, even if it is an accident or a result of negligence. It is better to resign from the job for the client’s benefit rather than work for him by giving only half involvement.
  3. Respecting an individuality and personal development

    • Although it may take God only knows how much time and God only knows how much effort, we have to attach a great importance to individual differences. The same expectation we may set towards the others.
    • Neither a professional nor financial advantage as well as intellectual dominance do not exempt us from respecting an individuality and dignity of other people – on the contrary, our each quality imposes on us new – within that scope – requirements. Only by keeping a reasonable distance and respecting others we are able to understand them perfectly.
    • Subsequently, we are able to ensure them conditions of individual development. Progress and development is a highly individual matter, each of us follows its own pace and optimal indicators of personal creation. Although sometimes it is much easier to generalize our expectations, only by providing the freedom of development and by respecting the individuality we are able to encourage our employees to achieve the highest goals.
  4. Identification with the Law Office standards

    • One who has no idea what satisfaction from the job in the Law Office is and who does not associate their future with this place, may by no means become a co-creator of the meaning and quality of the firm.
    • The Law Office, at its own side, is bound to build and support such a feeling of identification by correcting the behavioural and mental stereotypes in the appropriate manner.
    • If, however, it turns out that for any reasons and notwithstanding whether these reasons are subjective or objective, achieving a feeling of full identity is impossible – both parties should jointly and quickly draw conclusions from the instant situation and dissolve their relation.
  5. Creative approach

    • Theoretically, legal consultancy may be divided into reconstructive and creative one, although in reality the line between them is fine and unclear. A ‘reconstructive’ lawyer answers the client’s question whether I can do it. A creative lawyer takes a step further and provides an answer to the question how I can do it.
    • In our Law Office we attempt to answer also this latter question, even if we were not directly asked to do that. Our aim is to suggest solutions remaining within the scope of the client’s problem.
    • Such conduct and such consultancy require possibly wide understanding of one’s role, which entails an in-depth and ongoing education process as well as gaining knowledge reaching beyond pure command of law.
